Dear members of the ESSPD, dear Colleagues and Friends,

Welcome to « Treating Personality Pathology in a Time of Change », this year’s international meeting on personality disorders! The European Society for the Study of Personality Disorders (ESSPD) is delighted to invite you to Antwerp, Belgium, to our 7th congress, from September 23 to 25, 2024.

The preliminary program is published, early bird registration ends May 31st, 2024, so register now! We encourage everyone interested to get the much-needed update on personality disorders research and treatment to join us in unique Antwerp. The organizing and scientific committees of the ESSPD have joined forces to deliver a cutting-edge program, embedded in a vibrant Belgian city, a hub for creativity in 2024!

In Antwerp, we will learn about the developmental pathways of personality disorders. We will hear from experts about the evolution of our diagnostic systems. We will appreciate the effects of treatments and how treatments can be delivered in even more powerful ways, so they can reach those who need them the most. We will learn about the mechanisms of our treatments and how they can be studied in deeper ways. We will explore areas of personality pathology that have been under-researched and under-treated so far.

The 7th ESSPD conference will bring together expert clinicians and top researchers in a light-hearted and welcoming atmosphere. We will host an interactive poster session with exciting new data from all five corners of the world, and in particular from early career researchers. The ESSPD will honor the best work with our signature awards. We will humbly learn about the welcomed involvement of users and families, experts by lived experience on how to make our work even more fitting and relevant to them. Don’t miss the Social Dinner experience! Antwerp 2024 will be a lively and decontracted meeting where we exchange cutting-edge knowledge, and where the field may move a bit closer together in the striving of leaving a lasting impact.

Don’t miss this year’s ESSPD conference!
